what is portalfest?Santa Fe Portalfest brings you New Mexico's second annual neighborhood porch music festival on August 10, 2024. Portalfest is a free, DIY, independent music festival hosted on portales, driveways, and yards in an eight block radius in the La Madera/Alto Park neighborhood. In addition to live music, Portalfest hosts a local art market, community wellness area, and food vendors.

Santa Fe Portalfest is hosted in O'ga P'Ogeh Owingeh, so-called Santa Fe, New Mexico, on the occupied ancestral homelands of Tewa and Keres speaking Indigenous peoples.

how do i get involved?Portalfest is by the community for the community. Thank you for being here and supporting us, the DIY music scene in Santa Fe, and the incredibly talented musicians that will be on stage this year. We are looking for performers, hosts, volunteers, and vendors for Portalfest 2024! Our applications are open until June 1, 2024.

give us your money?We are currently fundraising for Portalfest 2024! With a goal of $36,450, our fundraising priority is to pay our talent. Beyond that, we would love to pay our organizers a stipend for their time, pay a land tax to a local Indigenous organization, and cover the cost of supplies, rentals, and equipment for the festival. All donations are 100% tax deductible! We have a fiscal sponsorship with Queen Bee Music Association, a local community music school and non-profit organization.

“Santa Fe Portalfest was just a super awesome event. All the stage setups were super cute and the crowds were eager and full. I loved wandering around the neighborhood, following the cute map that the organizers designed, or just following where my ears led me. Lots of sweet acoustic music, as well as fun loud rock too! After all the sets, we had an awesome dance party with live DJs and cool artisan goods for sale. I seriously cannot wait for this year’s event. With all the work the organizers are putting in, I have no doubt it’s going to be on a whole ‘nother level!”
